Amen. I hate when people recommend a professional to me, and I use their services, find them incompetent, and when I tell the referring person what I thought, I'm invariably told "oh, but he was so nice." Like I give a fuck if somebody's NICE. Do the job, do it right, don't rip me off. This goes for doctors, car repair, contractors, whatever.
