So as it turns out, Alaska had enough signatures from the state delegation, but couldn't deliver them, due to the secretary not being in the designated place to receive them (hiding and guards). There was an agreement that they would let Alaska introduce the petition from the floor before the vote (after the 4 hour delay to intimidate delegates). But somehow, they never turned on the Alaska delegation chair's mic, so that's the rest of the story as to how the RNC ran roughshod over the delegates, just to avoid a roll call. It is very clear that the RNC violated its own rules yesterday. From what I understand, Iowa joined Colorado in walking out.
