I think I'm in the minority here, but I find that shaving against the grain (especially on the neck/goatee area), one gets a cleaner and closer shave than shaving with the grain. Of course, I probably just do this b/c of my self-loathing caused by an ancestry of with-the-grain shavers.

If I shave the Kyan-approved way, I do not remove all of the whiskers from my face. Since this is why I shave, I flout his advice, even tho' doing it this way angries the skin (to borrow from Satchel Paige).
