This. Taxes on guns ought to reflect the many social costs that those guns trigger -- from policing to healthcare. And insurance should be required to compensate and provide care for the victims of guns, including the huge number of accidental victims.

Nobody thinks about the costs others - including the families of 58 people - pay when they buy a gun.
