This is about the only scenario where the movement conservatives get anything at all. We certainly wouldn't in a Clinton administration.

I agree with the point I think Sebby is trying to make. Democrats and Progressives are flourishing in cities, particularly big ones and the coasts, and lots of people across the country dislike Trump, but the Dems are severely overplaying their hand and risk losing the few red state Ds that are left. It is just the constant over-reaction to every single thing that grows so tedious. Their current message may play well with the people they see around them every day, but they seem to be leaning towards nominating someone like Kamala Harris or Bernie, and while they may even win the popular vote again, I don't see the current message taking the Electoral College. And I don't think that the talk by a few of abolishing the Electoral College is helping the cause either. [ETA: I don't know how much traction this is really getting on the Dem side, but my unsolicited advice is that you should kill the abolish ICE talk if you want to win the presidency.]

A lot of people who don't care for Trump voted for him BECAUSE of SCOTUS. It was the overwhelming reason evangelicals fell in line. On the part of the Dems, it seems unfortunate that somebody nuked the judicial filibuster because elections have consequences or something.

I'm not a fan of the whole concept of "owning the libs" but today I am glad that Hillary isn't president. At least until we end up with Supreme Court Justice Jeanine Pirro.
