This accrues from sex bonding culture. Sexes naturally bond together, but when they do it drunk between junior high and grad school, it’s bad. Particularly when they’re whitebread sheltered kids.
This isn’t an exclusively guy thing. Have you ever spent time in an all female dorm or a house occupied by numerous girls? I’d sleep there with girlfriends and hear the most insane intimate details of my male friends’ anatomy. I knew which way half the frat house’s dicks leaned. Really graphic shit. Body odor, who couldn’t get it up... you name it.
My wife just told me an untrue and embarrassing story an ex passed around about me after we broke up. Thing circulated for years. (I probably deserved it because I ghosted her instead of breaking up honorably... but that’s beyond the point.)
Point being, “guys’ guys” are fucking weird. So are girly girls. If you enjoy hanging with your own sex exclusively more than hanging with both, I don’t want to drink with you.
