No one with a chance of sitting on the Court will say in public, I am going to repeal Roe, because then they won't get nominated because there are other candidates who haven't said it.
Kavanaugh has said things that should reasonably lead you to expect that he will vote to overturn Roe, should he have that opportunity. And now that Roberts and not Kennedy is the fifth vote, you should expect the Court to have that opportunity.
