I suppose it’s still early, but I think she is. She pushed for reinstatement of the climate change committee, and while Speaker Pelosi didn’t give the committee all the power (subpoenas maybe? IDR) that AOC wanted it to have (and didn’t put her on) she was able to push through a requirement that the members would not take campaign cash from fossil fuel companies. My* middle of the road yet mostly environmentalist representative was appointed (and gave up her ExxonMobil money) and has been praising the Green Deal.
The kibbutz comment was directed at the GOPers who apparently think that being the only definition of socialism is “Venezuela.” (And while I don’t speak for the oamost Democrats aren’t anti-Israel so much as anti-Bibi. Much like, oh, 47 or so percent of Israelis.)
*By “my” I meant the member for Podunkville itself (where my office is). The congressdude where I live is an amiable former PI lawyer whose most significant legislative accomplishment is having the best tan in the post-Boehner House of Representatives.
