Oh, I totally agree. There ought to be all the emergency money we can muster thrown at expanding hospital capacity to absorb what's coming. I'd take it out of the defense budget to the extent that's possible.
I think we also need to be level-headed in assessing the danger of this thing.

That oft noted 3.4% death rate is somewhat misleading. Outside Wuhan, that quickly falls to .7. S. Korea has I think a .6 rate.
