I was chatting with some OBs today. There is a very real chance that high-risk maternal fetal medicine specialists will leave the state because of this. Too dangerous to stay. Lots of women and children's lives have been put at risk.
The legislature knows this, and they do not care.

Michigan has had a R state legislature for a while because of Gerrymandering; not as crazy as yours, but def not representative. But we had a vote a few years back to take redistricting away from the state legislature and put it in the hands of a panel. The panel is 4 D 4 R and 1 independent, whatever that means. I’m anxious to see what they do with the census.
