Otherwise, I (and Thurgreed, I'm sure) stand by this assessment:
2003:
Mussina, Pettite, Clemens, Wells, Weaver
2004:
Mussina, Vasquez, Brown, Contreres, Lieber.
But for Mussina, we've gotten better at every spot in the rotation. And but for Lieber, we've gotten a lot younger, too.

And to think that I refrained from posting a Yankees Schadenfreude Haiku
(tm) about Roger yesterday out of sympathy for you people.*
But, come on. This "we have a better rotation now" thing? Do you actually believe that? I will bet you a beer -- no, a bottle of Black Bushmills -- that not one of the "new/2004" pitchers in the above rotations you listed will match the wins of the "old/2003" pitchers. And that includes comparing Mussina 2004 to Mussina 2003. (Yeah, I'm taking a risk with leaving Weaver in there, but I'll stand by it.)
Hey, maybe George can get some revenge on the Astros by signing Mike "I have no idea how those scuffs got on the ball" Scott. Or Nolan Ryan.

And by "you people," I mean "Yankee fans" in general. Not just slave and TM.
