Arrrrgggh! I'm sure at some point the OED will capitulate, and list "figuratively, metaphorically" as a secondary definition. Please tell me it hasn't already.

ETA: As I posted this, Willie Garson said on Celebrity Poker Showdown, "I literally played my game one hand at a time." As did everybody else, Willie! Not literally incorrect, just meaningless.

I blame the Internet. And reality television. And to be clear,this was MNSBC's error, not NFH's.
