I don't think that is unusual. Although I have lots of friends, I have no regular contact with any of my childhood or college friends and have limited contact with my law school classmates. I don't socialize with my present co-workers, although I keep up with some of the people from my old lawfirm. NONE of my close friends are lawyers -- they are people that I have met socially over the years. I've even dated a couple of them.
