I meant no washing as part of the religion, not the hair care. I'm sure your friend is quite well-groomed, unless its late and he's been drinking.
Simple google provides no answer to whether the religion still forbids hair washing. the hits I find are more blogs, and I suppose there is no authority, such as the Vatican, to speak with certainty.
Maybe they can wash now, the way Catholics can now eat meat on Friday.
Washing or no washing, their living god, died.
