The 80s are back, and it sucks. At first I thought the evidence was anomolous. I go to a hipster party, and the DJ spins nothing but 80s. I mean, Pump Up The Volume, vintage Michael Jackson - unbelievable. I go to a groovy new bar that usually plays electronica. The DJ spins nothing but 80s. There is a dude in a button down shirt with the sleeves torn off and a skinny tie. Then I think that it is some localized phenomenon - some Minneapolis aberration. But look at the Felix Da Housecat/Miss Kittin/Ladytron/etc., etc. vibe. I nearly cried at the Ladytron show, the fashion was so bad. It is going to be a tough revival. I plan to opt out to the extent possible.Back to top

I'm not surprised that you think Ricky is the worst singer, he never really impressed me. But I'm surprised that you think Trenyce will be voted out so soon. I know she was a wildcard pick but she seems to be on of the four or five most talented of the bunch. I still think Carmen will go early though -- she may be cute but that doesn't make up for a crappy voice. Remember Ryan last year? drop dead gorgeous, but she was the third or fourth person cut.

As long as Clay lasts a while, I will keep watching. I am like a twelve year old with a crush. which is funny b/c I never had crushes when I was twelve.Back to top

[PLF freaking out about return to the 80s]

Don't worry PLF. If the 80s are back, then snorting coke is back, and you can stop stressing out about the 70s potheads.

Enjoy!Back to top

Str8, I have to think Carmen may be among the first ousted because she doesn't have any fan base yet. (Okay, maybe that's just wishful thinking.) I am still pissed Chip didn't make it. The scuttlebutt I heard on some entertainment show was that Simon's pique towards the producers were that they made him pick Carmen.

Abba, glad to see you made the jump. I was about to add you to the list of MIA posters.Back to top

The weird thing is that your boob size will increase through the evening (unless you can take a quick break to pump halfway through dinner). But if you flaunt the cleavage, then no one will be looking below the waist. I say empire waist, lots of cleavage, and either a couple of nursing pads or a busy print in case of leaks (not the time for black silk).Back to top

Here's a dilemma I actually need fashion help with...

I recently had baby #2 (isn't this #2 for you too?), ....

If you're in NYC (which, somehow, I think you're not...).....

It took WAY too long for my boobs to be back to their normal size -- that was the worst.

It's baby #1 (and probably only) for me so I have no idea what to expect.

I'm not in NYC, but it's warm and sunny and I can't complain.

My boobs have been 2 sizes bigger this entire pregnancy than their normal copious size. I am terrified of what will happen when the Brazenette actually gets here. I am afraid small planets will actually be sucked into the gravitational pull of my boobs.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it only gets worse once you give birth.

In each pregnancy, I quickly outgrew the largest bra size IN THE MATERNITY STORE!!! With baby #1, I was back to normal in about 6 weeks, with baby #2 it took close to 5 months. I'm telling you, it was the worst part.

And whoever said ask Mr. DTB for his viewpoint, I will tell you that for someone with the maturity of, oh, say Beavis & Butthead, after baby #1 was born (and my bra size was a G -- yes, a G), he even thought they were a little ridiculous!Back to top

Much like 8Track, speaking as a suburban white boy, I find motherhood and the pre-birth glow (and swollen boobs) of the same to be a beautiful thing.

That's all.....just wanted to share.

Yeah, just keep telling yourself that that's the reason I turned you down...you're just not gay enough for me, despite the shaved body, furry sweaters and leather pants. Back to top
