The "works" of Rowan Atkinson? You mean like "Rat Race," and "Johnny English," and "Scooby-Doo," and "Hot Shots! Part Deux"? I'll give you "Four Weddings," but he didn't carry much of that picture. Perhaps we should leave his movie career aside; he's batting under .250.*
Mr. Bean --- not the movie --- stands up to repeated watching. It might even go down in history as the best physical comedy ever performed by an Englishman. However --- and you might want to sit down for this --- Blackadder does not. Blackadder was hilarious the first time I saw it, but no subsequent times. I think it might be the "Better Off Dead" of britcoms. I say that with a heavy heart, as I know my credibility will suffer among comedy dorks.
*I have not seen "Love Actually." Maybe this redeems his movie career. I think I'm the only person in the room who's seen "The Tall Guy," a rental that remains the most inexpensive way to see Emma Thompson's tits.
