The size of the image in the sig depends on the size of the source file.

Don't bother answering that, for I already know what you will say.

Me neither.

I see that ADL has dragged himself up from the sewage-ridden trenches of the avatarless caste to share in our power. Our triumvirate of avatars shall shake the board with menace and power. Especially with the Damoclesean threat of the pointy tip of your princess hat lingering over their heads.

OF course, maybe the rest didn't run out to rent Girls Gone Wild at blockbuster to find out if their TITS made it onto the video tape. But when your dad sees his daughter while watching the Fishin' channel, and calls your attention to it, you might think about suing.Back to top

Actual legal topic -- the outcome of the Victor's Little Secret case seems to have escaped our attention in all of the board migration confusion. Victoria's Secret lost. They deserved it because their stuff sucks.

And does AdL's avatar freak anybody else out? Is there an emoticon for heebie-jeebies? Merely reading the name doesn't have the same effect, I guess.

Just the thought of A Clockwork Orange gives me nightmares. That movie makes the Accused look like When Harry Met Sally.Back to top

I think I posted about that case at one of the previous boards as part of the "do we call ourselves 'greedy associates'" discussion. I forget which board.Back to top

The Accused looked like neither Harry nor Sally. Rather, they looked like the splatter-core band that they were:

Although that picture may actually be the Fartz, the band from which the Accused sprung. Not sure.Back to top

Mmmmmm....old British fogeys definitely don't watch the fishing channel and I doubt they play the GGW commercial on the BBC.

Yes. Both the heebies and the jeebies. Can you make it smaller? (Never thought I would say that before!)

On a completely other note, am I the only person whose gaydar goes into the red zone every time Ed Smart opens his mouth? If I'm all alone on this one, might have to take it into the shop for a tuneup.

Howard Stern Sues ABC Over 'Are You Hot?'
Fri Mar 14,10:51 AM ET

LOS ANGELES - Shock jock Howard Stern sued ABC and the producers of the reality series "Are You Hot?" claiming the show is based on his ideas that aired on his radio program and it ruined his chances for his own TV deal.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Superior Court, accuses the network of copying the "unique aspects" of a Stern radio segment in which members of his crew and guests evaluate the bodies of in-studio contestants.

Stern claims that some of the tactics used on his show were duplicated by ABC's version. Some of the alleged similarities include blunt criticism of contestants and the use of a laser pointer to highlight areas of the contestant's body.

"Are You Hot?" features contestants in various stages of dress posing in front of a three-judge panel who rate them solely on looks. The show is produced by Scott Einziger, a former executive producer of Stern's E! cable show. Former Stern sidekick Jackie Martling is listed as a consultant for the show.

Before the ABC show debuted, Stern was in talks to develop a TV series based on his radio segment, according to the suit. He planned to broadcast the show possibly on a pay-cable channel that wouldn't be subject to censorship.

But when ABC aired "Are You Hot?" talks for a Stern TV show collapsed, the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit said Stern warned the network that the series would be a "misappropriation," but that ABC disregarded him.

Stern is seeking $100 million in damages.Back to top

Right. Because the whole concept of judging another person's hotness is Stern's realm alone. And no one ever bluntly criticizes anyone nor highlights the contestant's body (hello, sorority hazing?). He clearly came up with this idea. Give me a fucking break.

I was getting slammed on the FL board for criticizing the smarts. They may have some legit criticism of the police, but these people are not exactly normal. I really feel sorry for their kids and think the smarts are throwing stones in a glass house when they call anyone else religious fanatics.

This case is incredibly disturbing to me for a variety of reasons. The last report I read on www.cnn.com, reports that Lois Smart approached the kidnapper and invited him to her house to work on the roof. CNN says that "Lois gave him $5 and asked him if he wanted to come up and do some work. She was impressed by him," the uncle said." WTF?!?! What the hell is wrong with these people. And all the media press conferences and pictures of the kid that they are releasing to the press is scaring the fuck out of me.

Let me know if anyone wants me to move the discussion over here.

I gotta admit, I was thinking something similar. Perhaps I'm just too jaded, but I don't think I'd ever invite someone over to my home to do work like that. I'm also a privacy hound 99% of the time and hate for others to know my business, so I just don't like people I don't know fairly well to come into my home or property, but jeez.

I'd say it's a patch thing to just be trusting, but it could also have been a way to get really cheap labor.

My gaydar doesn't go off, though, with Ed Smart, FWIW.

Girl Emerges from Coma During Bryan Adams Concert
Wed Mar 12, 4:30 PM ET Add Health - Reuters to My Yahoo!

By Michael Leidig

MUNICH (Reuters Health) - A young woman left in a coma for six years after she collapsed at school has started to respond to the world around her after her mother took her to see her pop star hero Bryan Adams perform live.

Christiane Kittel, now 24, was left in a vegetative state after her collapse on 12 June 1997. Doctors believe her condition was caused by a combination of hot weather, a hereditary hemophilia condition and side-effects of the contraceptive pill.
