Speaking of whack families, or at least fucked up ones, cnn had a story up briefly yesterday about the trial of the wacko who kidnapped a little boy in the 70s and kept him/sexually abused him for 7 years (the basis of some made-for-tv movie called something like "I Know My Name Is Steven"), who was set free after a ridiculously short prison sentence in that case and is now on trial for trying to buy a child from an acquaintance (she refused).
Anyway, turns out the family of the 70s kidnapped kid (let's call him Steven) is screwed up. Steven died at 24 of injuries from a motorcycle accident and his brother was the sicko who killed 4 people in Yellowstone a few years back.
