Funny you should mention that. I saw the cover, and couldnt' believe it was Meg Ryan. Of course, it's not really her, just her made up super nice and airbrushed half-way around the world, so it looks like a younger, hotter, meg ryan that never really existed because when she was younger she went for the cute Sally look . . .

but I digress.

RP if you buy that camel tote only to stick it in a closet because it matches nothing you ever wear you will be depriving it of the very purpose of its existence. Don't do it! Buy one of their pretty summer-colored PDA covers or laptop carriers instead.

You sound like the guys in that taco bell commercial: "Dude, I want the S class" Yeah, the S-class taco, with steak.

Is eclipse some kind of uber-gum, with luxurious accouterments justifying a sky-high price?

Methinks not. It's got a better initial burst of flavor, but it fades twice as fast as the rest, in order to get down to zero flavor in the requisite 3 minutes.

So let's recap your mood today: if Meg Ryan were to come to your office and offer you Eclipse gum, you'd send her away?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the "I'd Rather See her Make Out with Her Brother Again Than See Her Wear This" File:

Angelina Jolie's Oscar dress has been stolen because her dumbass designer left it and another $60,000 of one-of-a-kind dresses in his ragtop BMW, which was promptly slashed through to steal from.

OTOH, it is described as being a blood-red satin corset dress decorated with cherubs, so perhaps it's all for the best.

When I saw the cover I thought "Meg Ryan is looking pretty weird these days". To each his own I guess. That cover, however, is a lot nicer than the one beside it that I saw in CVS, which was of J-Lo and Cris Judd in happier days - Gag-arific.

If the Meg Ryan pictured on the cover of InStyle came to my office, I'd tell her to hold onto the gum, and let me chew something else. And I'd let her eat some Ritz crackers, too.

Funny you should mention that because when I first saw it I couldn't believe that she was on the cover of InStyle wearing only a strapless white bra. Then I looked down and realized it was some sort of dress. looks like a white strapless bra tho (nttawwt).

I thought exactly the same thing.

Weird picture, but her face looks great (though unnaturally so) and I love what they did to her hair.

The blue lining IS adorable. And what better way to insert a little camel into your repertoire than with a nice bag. I wear camel and black all the time. Camel is (was) the new white.

And the shoe thing...yeah. Shoes are hot. There's just something about buying a new pair of shoes that makes you feel like a sex kitten. It depends on the pair of shoes of course, but something strappy with a 4 inch heel ought to do the trick.

I lack purse lust. I admit to feeling somewhat inadequite on this board as a result of this bizarre trait of mine. I don't like purses. Wouldn't carry one if I didn't need the storage space.

Don't feel bad -- for a long time, I only had one purse. I don't get the purse fetish. I do get the shoe fetish (but I don't have one).

I'm bored.

)@#($*ing Salukis . . . #)$(*@#$ing refs.

Actually, my anger is as false as a Toyota Cressida. I've got Mizzou going far in several of my for-$$ pools. I think if they want to beat Marquette, perhaps their zone should stop leaving people wide open under the basket. Quinn Snyder didn't learn that from Coach K, methinks.

Oh, and at the half, with Jason Keep having only one foul, San Diego has come back from down a zillion to trail 35-32. Represent the southland, go you Torreros!

Whoops; just saw that in the Legal Beagles pool I picked Stanford to win 2 games. Crap. I can't keep track anymore.

strazed and confused.

Joined an old friend's pool on ESPN, but just wanted to say I'm 7/7. Hunnerd purcent, bay-beee! 'Zona, 'Zona, 'Zona!

FWIW, Meg looks very good with just-got-fucked hair. Most women do. I'm still waiting for the Bush twins to give it a whirl --- I'm happy to be their unofficial stylist in that regard.

[Edited to add:] And God bless the fine young men of Gonzaga. The Jesuits rock! As for Cinci, too bad, so sad. "I went back to Ohio. And my city was gone . . . ."

That's what that's called? My hair looks like that pretty much all the time. If I could calm it down, I would, but it's sort of rebellious.

My mom is a total babe and fairly young (55) to have a daughter my age.

Alas, she does not look as young as Meg does in that picture, though she may look as young as Meg does in real life.

My mom has very (naturally) curly hair and that cut would look good on her.
