My goal is to convince all other women to "just say no" to anal. Then you guys will not have the option unless you don't mind doing it with another guy.
The problem occurs when other women don't join in to the boycott. Then your SO can try to guilt you into it. The "jeff's girlfriend does it, so she must love him more than you love me," kind of stuff can really wear you down after awhile.
