I think you're on the right track for PLF's age appropriate dilemna. I was thinking about it when paigow first mentioned it and I remembered a thing I heard on NPR about a year ago.

Incidently, it seems that NPR is fully aware of the problem and has recently reported on another attempt to ease the 30 somethings into mature fuddy duddy-ness. (dtb, is this appropriate hyphen useage?) Perhaps PLF should also look into attending one of the
Punk Rock Orchestra concerts in San Francisco.
