But then I heard it was one of his best friends from college who was driving with his kid and pregnant wife in Denver Colorado. A 40-ton girder on an overpass that was being widened, in a total freak accident, collapsed and landed on his car and killed the whole family. The most upstanding friend he has gets killed in Colorado while he was minding his own business driving around. We were scheduled to go out mountainbiking with him this summer. He was a nice family man. Everyone is so sad because "it couldn't have happened to a nicer family." I doubt that anyone's going to say that about me, when the bridge collapses on me, but I'm going to work toward it.
And in case you're wondering, now that I've told you about the husband who murdered his wife, the mother who drowned to death from falling off a boat while drunk, the murdered ex-boyfriend, the old trainer dying of AIDS, and now the horrible death-by-40-ton gurder, among others, I do seem to have a lot of death around me, and I'm not sure why.
Goodnight my little FB friends.

My local newspaper had this on the front page yesterday. Just a photograph of a decimated vehicle with only a caption and no story. For some reason, I can't quite put my finger on, I found this terribly offensive. A shocking reminder of how fragile life actually is. I am sorry for your loss.
