I wonder how many people do something like that and truly do regret it. You never really see "old" people with that kind of crazy stuff (unless they are the "old" people who do that kind of stuff to the youngins) -- which leads me to conclude that the type of people who do permanent prominent art to their bodies don't live long enough to regret it.

I was deeply saddened the day I saw the really cute guy with the GQ looks on the left side of his face and the tribal tat covering the right side.
I have a skull tattoo, but not on my face. My in-their-fifties and retired very not weird by most standards each actually got a couple of tattoos during the past few years. My dad got mom's name and then mine and my sister's on his arm -- his only regret is that he was offered a part-time to supplement the pension job at Disney World and they retracted it when he was measured for a uniform and the tattoos showed. Mom has a kitty face on her wrist and Garfield on her ankle.

I got mine when I was 16 and don't regret it. If nothing else, somebody can identify me if I am ever decapitated.
