If my wife was the CFO of anything and could afford to drop $28k at Chippendales or its equivalent, non-cheesy affiliates and the media picked it up, I would be upset about the fact that it was picked up. I'll admit that that is embarassing. Would I be looking around to fuck my maid as revenge while spending all our money? No. But that's because I don't have a huge stick up my ass.
And if she told me that there was no way she spent that kind of money and that she spent only $2,000 and they were trying to take advantage, I would be as outraged as she. And I would be on her side.
I also assume that she would tell me that she was going to a strip club. So, the fact that she was there probably wouldn't surprise me to the point of anger and scorched-earth divorce. But I wouldn't care if after the fact, she said, "We went out, got drunk and decided to go to a strip club." But that's only because I don't give a shit about strip clubs, unless she's fucking a dancer. And that ain't in the fact pattern.
