Other than the obvious homage last night on the Sopranos to "The Godfather, Part II" yet again (see Tony ruminating in chair while wondering whether to whack Fredo, er Tony), there was just as many visual references to "Miller's Crossing"
Which sort of begs this question then. We never saw a body. Is it possible that Silvio faked her death and told her to scram (a la Gabriel Byrne and John Tuttorro) rather than the obvious.
Also lending to this theory is the fact that Drea De Matteo is apparently under contract for next season.

I thought the same thing for a while, but if they bring her back as a live character, they may as well start the show with a "we've jumped the shark" banner.* She'll appear in flashbacks. I'm sure Ralphie, Pussy the other ghosts also have contracts through season six.
I don't care where she is - I'm just glad Adrienna's gone. The FBI informant subplot was almost as boring as the Tony and Carm marriage subplot. Neither was as awful and totally useless as the Finn subplot or the sudden inclusion of 10 new characters, but they all detract from the only reason people watch the show anymore - to see Johnny Sack and Tony go to war.
* Yes, I am cognizant of the fact that the phrase "jump the shark" has jumped the shark.
