Heh. I can't remember what he sang in the semi-finals but he auditioned with "Love the Way You Love Me" by Faith Hill. With a dance routine. Sublime.
I think he may have been a mercy cut b/c while he was perfect for the show, he strikes me as one of the ones who might have been at risk for harming himself after the truth was told. I think even these judges realized that it while it's ok to mock and humiliate semi-retarded people for deluding themselves into thinking they have talent, it's not okay to make fun of a young man who is gay and desperately wants to be Britney Spears. Which means these judges have more empathy than MTV.
