Supposedly, the US has a mental illness rate of 27%, which is substantially higher than any other countries.
It's not surprising that the U.S. tops the rates. Mental illness doesn't carry enough social stigma in the U.S.
It's cute that psychologists/psychiatrists are concerned: Newsflash: Most people lead shitty lives and are better off indulging in alcohol, drugs, religion, psychology and other compulsive behaviors than dealing with reality.
