Here are my biggest issues with the movie, in no particular order.

It would seem to me that if a cruiser at hyper speed could destroy a large ship or fleet, someone might have thought of that before. It seems easier than flying down a long trench on the chance you can make a perfect shot down a vent. Heck, you could attach a hyper drive to an unmanned drone. And why did Admiral Yoga Dress need to stay on the ship, when she was pretty much just standing there until she pushed a single lever. In the event that the ship really cannot be programmed, why leave behind one of the greatest military minds when you could have just left C3PO to do it?

It also seems that if dead Jedi masters can appear and summon lightning, that could have come in handy before too. Like: Hey Obi-Wan, why don't you come here and strike down Palpatine for me? Or Yoda how about some help on the forest moon of Endor?

The astral projection. This also sees like it could have in handy before too, say like when they are trying to find out if someone is building an army of clones. You don't need spies to get the plans to the death star if someone can project across the galaxy.

Fuel. Never before in Star Wars have we ever heard anything about fueling the ships. Luke was able to fly his X-wing fighter all across to Degobah System and the Cloud Planet and never seemed to have to refuel.

Why did the evil droid not do anything when it recognized BB8?

Why would an arms dealer design bombers with such a slow top speed?

What was the point of the hacker with the lapel pin if they didn't need him after all? The whole casino planet thing was a total waste. I could not care less about Finn and Rose.

And last but not least, Leia totally looked like Mary Poppins with her umbrella sailing through the debris field in the vacuum of space. That scene was terrible, also because it disposed of Admiral Akbar in a pretty unceremonious manner. I am also incredulous that someone who has never used the force other than to have a general feeling about someone else could use the force in this way. And why show Kylo Ren hesitating if some random guy we didn't even see was going to blow it anyway.

I had a number of logical issues with the story. I would, however, watch a spin off of nothing but the Jedi nuns and Porgs.
