I dunno about playoffs but BCS is better than what was before. The last two years, under the old system, Ohio state would have played the Pac-10 champ in the rose bowl. OSU might have won, and might have had an argument they were best, when they clearly were not.

Perhaps, but it seems a little easier to reject one 8-4 team for another and not be too worried about it. This year highlights the problem--at least 3, if not 6, teams with a decent claim, and only two are playing. The only reason they're recognized as 1 and 2 is because the BCS has convinced people it's right about who's 1 and 2.

Re: Congratulations Slave and Catrin!!!
so i was looking at a book about writing exercises, and it was saying that talking about human bodies, at least attractive ones, in an unique and interesting way is tough. the exercise recommends focusing on flaws, like not "she was really beautiful, with large real breasts" but instead focus on a scar maybe.
so for lawtalkers secret santa I got adder, and I was looking at realdoll.com for ideas and there is an annoucement that they are selling factory seconds, with minor flaws, on something called dollforum.com
I spent 2 minutes on dollforum and I no longer feel Ironweed is the oddest person I know of, but I digress: given that what makes a real beautiful body most intersting is its flaws, wouldn't a factory second love doll be better than a perfect one?

Last-minute holiday gifts
Why am I getting emails suggesting last-minute holiday gift ideas? Was I supposed to have purchased Xmas presents already? Xmas isn't for a whole week.

We may bicker over the top 6-8 or 12-16, but there would be no argument over who should be national champion (or who should be in the national championship game), which is all that really matters.

2. Still, Howard Stern talks about real dolls. i heard they were selling their factory seconds, and it struck me as sad that someone who is so pathetic that have to buy one needs to settle for a factory second, but then I thought maybe it isn't so bad.

No kidding. Who remembers any of the excluded "bubble" teams in the NCAA hoops tournament after the games start? They're always teams that are good, but finished well down in their conference (too bad #9 from the ACC or Big Ten) Half of them lose in the first round of the NIT anyway. If they win the NIT, then everyone remembers that.

Coke with Stevia
So, it looks like Coke/Pepsi will soon be using a stevia-based sweetener in some of their drinks. I enjoy the stevia. Do we know if they're going to use actual stevia, or some product containing stevia combined with several other artificial cancerous Big Sweetener chemicals?

What have you tried that has stevia in it? Will this product be better than Coke Zero?

That's why the old bowl system is preferable to the current BCS. We don't have to decide who is 1 and 2 until it is all over, and we let the polls decide.
