I may be a one-man girl, too, as I turned down an offer of excellent wine (and cheese) tonight while the Chimney Sweep was unavailable.

				Random, Actually Legal, Question

So, what happens if your lawyer files an ex parte motion to withdraw as your counsel, and you object?

 | The judge determines whether there will be prejudice to you, your opponent, or itself. If any one of the three would be prejudiced (read: imminent trial date), the judge might deny the motion. Some states might even provide for an in camera conference so the attorney can tell the judge whether it's a conflict of interest withdrawal, and exactly how long it's been since he was paid. |
