Cold Weather Workout gear

I must protect this house.

So, any thoughts on good base layer shirts for cold weather (i.e., long sleeved, thicker material) with moisture wicking properties. E.g., under armour, nike fit (or whatever it's called), patagonia capilene . . .

Experiences? Best bang for buck?
