Probably because Fenway is right in the middle of everything. Doesn't matter where you live, when the Sox are at home you need to alter your habits. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Fenway rocks! The beer sucks, but I love going to games there. It's so small and intimate that you can't help but get caught up in the game. I wish the fans would give up the "Yankees Suck" chant, that is so late 1990's.
