Are you hopped up on lutefisk and lefse or something? I spent two winters in mid-MN in a farmhouse and froze my ass off each time - that was enough. The Autumn there is gorgeous - I would go back for the trees and the apples, but not a winter - my blood is way too thin.

Whoa, it's a wasteland in this thread. I guess no one from or around Minnesota trolls lawtalkers. It's a shame, it seems like a great community, but a community it's not without any peeps. I guess that's all I've got to say, but maybe I'll have more to say tomorrow.

OK, I'll bite... What are they paying mid-level IP Associates out there these days? And response to the bumps on the coasts? Can I buy a 5,000 sf mansion (and heat it) on 25 acres for $1500 a month and bank the $150k+ left over? And more importantly, are they importing? Last time I even struck up a coversation with a recruiter from M&G at a national job fair I was politely turned away for insufficient 'local' contacts on my resume. (Hello? This is a national job fair... if you want local, recruit from U of Minn. Are you really beating back the HYS grads with a stick?) |
