You are correct. It is simple and effective.

If I were PLF or Paigow, I would post hoc-edly create a witty/sardonic meaning behind it, just to demonstrate my skillz. However, since you are the dumbest, I won't do that.

My favorite band is more obscure than yours.

Coldplay Sucks the Crackpipe

Someone here the other day was extolling Coldplay, and "Clocks" in particular. Well, I heard the song last night and was struck by how weak it is. Coldplay is this decade's Smiths. Plodding, monotonal music for stoners, those on downers, or the anti-depressant crowd. Pink Floyd without the range, skill, ability or virtuosity. A radio station here sent me an e-mail about how they are giving away tickets to the show; I sent them one back saying that's not good enough - they would have to pay me.

I don't understand why Mr-Nothing-Nice-To-Say-About-Anyone didn't just put the tickets up on Ebay and try to turn a profit.

I picked up the album, along with NIN, Garbage, Audioslave, Oasis and the White Stripes on Tuesday. Of those, I'm liking Oasis the best, though I've only heard most of them once. So far, I can't get into the Coldplay album, though I did like A Rush of Blood to the Head. I'm listening to the White Stripes right now, and I like it quite a bit.

2. Or offer them for free to the poster who liked the band. Maybe that would be an antitrust violation under the Detroit Edison case that str8 might go after?

Watch it, or the Coalition of CD Stealing Bastards might pay you a visit.

Maybe the anti-depressant crowd (more likely the should-be-on antidepressant crowd), but otherwise, I'd never connect Coldplay with anything remotely drug related. Which is not a good thing for a rawk band. I just find them entirely uninteresting.

The only common ground with the Smiths is the whining. Not a Morrisey fan, but the Smiths at least had their interesting moments. Don't see it with Coldplay. I've seen 'em described as Radiohead without the creative ambition; even that seems a bit unfair to Radiohead.

It was a lottery, you twit.

And I have told ABBA that she has nice TITS, so there. <rasberry sound>

Do you think the intern at the radiostation who monitors the email giveaways thought to himself "this old guy needs to get laid. How'd he get on our list anyway?"
