Does that mean the Yankees are Canadian?
Which leads to, of course, another edition of Yankee Schadenfreude Haiku. Enjoy!
What? Yanks in fourth place?
What will Cashman do? Easy.
Try to buy Sweet Lou.

I give you the "Johnson Sock" - an indoor tanning garment
for men. It's specific purpose is to protect the male genitals
from UVB and UVA exposure while allowing the rest of the
body to tan.

Right. I forgot about the one game winning streak you're on. And with Kevin Brown getting the start tonight, you're in great shape.

you not only offend Yankee fans, but also Atticus. He believes Haiku needs the 3rd line to be a nature reference that seems a non-sequitor, but then isn't
like:
lion dies hunting lamb
or something like that for a Yankees suck poem

That's the brilliance of it. It mixes two metaphors and throws in a random black woman comment for no apparent reason. No one dies and turns someone into something. Someone dies and gets promoted to someting. Like "Who died and made you consigliere?"

Actually, I never had a nice pen until this year (read: gift) because I lose my pens as often as Boston teams lose their All-Star Players.
That being said, many a prior discussion has noted "my pen in pocket" or "I put my pen in my shirt pocket."
This is the Fashion Board after all (although with my posts, you'd think I've been trying to make it the Cocktail Board), so dare I remind everyone that a true Men's Dress Shirt does not have a pocket.
Even GQ as recently as a few months ago addressed this very topic.
Chalk up another Silly Rule.

PS - Wasn't someone going to start the Cognac v. Armagnac discussion?

What song did you pick?
eta: Congrats on the win last night. What are your feelings on Carrie singing the National Anthem tomorrow night instead of Bo?

I'm actually flying back and land at 7, so I hope I'm going to be there tomorrow. Went yesterday. Will go sunday (absent crushing defeat tomorrow).
And this guy latched onto the real Piston's issue http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playof...arc&id=2085548
- To 'fro or cornrow? That is the question
Turns out that the world's basketball punditry whiffed on the easiest adjustment for the Detroit Pistons to make.
The tweak that resuscitated their season, unmentioned in the buildup to Tuesday night, just might have come from Ben Wallace's hair pick.
Ben Wallace finally showed up.
Detroit traded a cornrowed Big Ben for a Big Ben in full 'fro and promptly rediscovered "the Ben Wallace that we all know and love," in Chauncey Billups' words.
I've known this for a few years. They've only lost 1 playoff game I can recall when he was full fro. But- problem is- he often can't sustain fro power 2 games in a row*. So they often have to win with Ben in rows. Just a subplot for you all to watch.
*we/he learned this from the regular season last year. They never lost the first fro game after a row game, but often lost the second fro in a row.
