I heard this morning on the TV (so it must be true) that Katie Holmes was paid $ 5 million to "play the part of Tom Cruise's girlfriend." They had first approached Jessica Alba, but she said no, $5 mill is not enough to fake it with Cruise.

Who died and made you Liz Smith? I've heard various stories about this (Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner). After watching the Cruise/Oprah debacle and Cruise/Billy Bush nonsense, I don't buy it. The downside of doing this and having it leak would so far outweigh any PR upside from the relationship. And it seems so inconsistent with his apparent personality. I think it's just the haters doing their thing. I'm starting to even doubt his gayness.
