Ty, if you are willing to drop a few grand, this might be it- I bet they hold their value pretty well too, if you're looking for a place to sink your $$$ besides the markets.

Life on Mars

Did anybody catch the premiere of this show last night? It was very good. Although I have to admit, I never thought I'd see the day Harvey Keitel did serial television.

They arrest people for that?

I thought it was one of the perks.

VERY Important Halloween Question

So I'm going with the geisha girl for Halloween. My question is, what do you call those decorative stick things that go in your hair if you are a geisha?

"Decorative hair sticks" is not a very useful Google search, I have discovered.

My son suggested that I use chopsticks, but that didn't seem very festive.

Japanese hair sticks will get you there, or Japanese hair ornaments.

http://www.longlocks.com/geishastix.htm, for example.

And here's a "how to use hair sticks" site . . . http://www.ehow.com/how_17120_hair-s...paign=yssp_art

This could be worth looking up more details to thoroughly mock the protagonist.

I don't buy the ruined life part, but I do think it is possible she bought blonde dye and got brown. The Fugee Mom has been dying her hair the same brand and shade as long as I can remember. One time whatever was in the bottle dyed her hair brown and not blonde. She chose to buy another box of dye rather than suing Clairol.

John 26 or 50 the loft, plus there seems to be lots of sirius coming in already.
Thanks, I'll check them out.

So far, I like Sirius a lot better than XM. I've listened to a few stations, and I've liked the music on Sirius better, plus, there is less DJ banter on Sirius. And, sad that I know this and have formed an opinion on it, the Sirius kids' station blows away XM's. (Dan Zanes and Laurie Berkner aren't that bad.)

All I want for Christmas... or Rosh Hashannah or my birthday or Columbus Day

The Sports Guy's take on Christina Hendricks at the Emmy's: "it was all worth it to see the redhead from "Mad Men" spilling out of her dress. If I were running a studio, I'd give her $15 million to star in Basic Instinct 3."
