Have you heard the new Black Angels' disc, "Directions to See a Ghost"? It's not as immediately accessible as "Passover," but as I listen to it more and more, I'm beginning to think it's better. If you don't have it, I highly recommend it. The second song alone is worth the price. They do this echo thing with one of the guitars that totally disregards the rest of the song's structure. In the proper listening mindset, you can imagine it working like a sort of ripple across the rest of the music, putting a wave-like wah wah effect under everything. It's impossible to do it justice explaining it on words. Just buy it. You'll dig it.
