They're actually kind of fun, and much of the crowd is giggling at a large number of the outfits and a large number of attendees. Best one I went to though was a fundraiser for Jesse Jackson and that was pretty much a rave with class.

I used to help my friend Vanessa put them on all the time.
She and my neighbor Jeff, who owns a modeling agency, have pretty much convinced me that posture, fluidity in walking and the ability to let a garment hang without drawing too much attention away from the garment is the key to good model. I have none of these qualities. But Jeff fabulously compliments me all the time, so I'll live with the disappointment that I'll never be a model.
ETA: Huh. I sat next to Jesse Jackson at a charity fashion show back when the Superbowl was here. You were there?
