what does that mean? Like Ty drove through w/o incident. If you are planning on staying THEN you must stay in for 2 weeks?

We were heading to Colorado and wanted to break the trip up and also acclimate to higher elevation, so we stayed in Sedona for a couple of nights, at a resort where we could basically have our own cabin and not go anywhere. Arizona has much worse numbers than New Mexico, but didn't put any restrictions on us. The resort was full of people escaping the heat in Phoenix, where there is a a lot of Covid-19, so we certainly kept our distance.

Two weeks or the duration of your trip, if that is shorter than two weeks.

I know, but what does "quarantine" means to someone driving through? He has to stop for gas, and to eat, and to pee.

Nothing. The page linked states that if you're just driving through, quarantine doesn't apply to you. How could it?

It's a maddeningly vague order. My sister was staying there when it was handed down, and no one could interpret it. She went ten miles across the Colorado border (to a county with no cases the entire time) and came back, and ended up quarantining for the two weeks. They interpreted it to mean stay in the house as much as possible, but you can go to the grocery store for pick up.

No one, at least in Taos, was really enforcing it, though I talked to someone there a few days ago who said that most of the locals are a) not happy about it, and b) still don't like the tourists because they're blaming this whole thing on them.

I'm waiting until October to go.
