I think the latter are deluded.  Almost any candidate beats Trump.  Reason being, as in 2020, Trump runs against himself. Kinda odd to have to ask GA Dept of Corrections for permission to attend the G7, no?)

 |  Maybe, but when the incumbent is seen as having been pretty successful and, like last time, a compromise between the various factions within the party, it feels like a big risk to switch horses. Potentially at considerable personal political cost.
