I don't think you can return it in the traditional sense, but the manufacturers often have "we guarantee you'll like it or your money back" specials, so you can essentially return it to them and get your money back. It might be a bigger hassle though, which is probably what they bank on. They probably just sterilize them and sell them as refurbished units, then.
