like the other day I went to look for the Elvis Costello SNL Radio Radio film. not available, removed due to copyright claims. Why? again, all people seeing the film coul think is, SNL was cool and important, maybe I should try to watch it.

to congratulate Flower on the release of Roman Polanski on bail by the Swiss Courts. I am sure the champagne is flowing this very moment at Chez Fleur, amid gales of vile sniggering from the assembled crowd of drug-dealing pederasts who gather every Wednesday to study depravity at the feet of their master. Bravo! |

 | Is it because the clients give standing orders to the firms that represent them to send C&D orders for reproduction of any work in their ownership, so they don't have to field a zillion strategy phone calls musing over whether an infringement might actually be "kinda cool"? That way, the owner only gets billed .6 for firing off a form letter, rather than 3.0 for teleconference re: whether infringement might increase marketability?

That, and clients probably think you waive or abandon by non-objection, and IP lawyers are happy to let that misunderstanding continue. |

Bravo! | Perhaps the Swiss courts didn't have a yes/no checkbox for "Is the defendant an international flight risk?" but instead had a blank were you put down the number of times he has been a fugitive, and "eins" seems like such a small number in a 30 year period. |

Also, after you factour out the cost of his jail time and other administrative paperwork to date, its about $4mm of pure profit, which is a nice ROI.
