And I could count the women with whom I’ve hooked up after meeting at a bar on both hands. I hear from everyone how the dating scene is all about the bars, but I don’t have a single friend married to/involved with/fuckbuddying anyone he or she met in a bar. And I run in a pretty diverse crowd of people. I have a pet theory that nobody really hooks up in bars; that most hooking up is done following meetings between friends, lunches, etc.

But then, I can’t dance very well, so I have no clue about the dancing scene, where I understand one can hook up quite easily.

Yeah, mine caught me on the walk between subway and home, so stopping rather than walking on so he would see exactly where I live did enter into my confused calculus.

I'm starting to wonder if this is written on a bathroom wall somewhere. My friendly guy also approached me on the street near where I lived, on the way home from the subway. A couple other times as well, in the neighborhood. Nothing like running into that odd person you want to avoid when you're making a "just before they close" dash to the TastiDLite and really don't want to be bothered. Hmmm.
