Everybody thinks I'm mostly correct about this.

That was sort of my point. Women realize early on that they (that is, most) can be overpowered in a struggle. But they know the risk can be managed, and they don't totally shut down over remote scenarios, like that the guy they're chatting up at the bar will follow them unobserved to their car. Tell a guy who doesn't know a lot of gay people that the fellow at the end of the bar will be following him to his car. He's got to overcome a sudden fear response in three minutes what women have been thinking clearly about for millenia. Men don't grow up thinking there are situations they might not be able physically to control. So they're more likely to improperly evaluate when a situation is going to get out of their control.
Men only realize this in the exact moment they're reminded they are sexual objects to people who can overpower them. The fact that they (and by this, I mean Neanderthals like Owens) are mentally unprepared for it means they act irrationally, where women are more likely to evaluate those risks and respond to them rationally.
A bit of this theory comes from personal experience. I was cruised by group of three men when walking home one night in a Southern town. They said nothing overtly threatening, probably just checking my interest level, but my first thoughts were whether I could fight and disable them if necessary. They were probably perfectly nice guys --- a little desperate, I guess --- but I was caught totally unprepared. Guys like Terrell Owens are thinking about these scenarios, too, and that's why they do the "Just fucking stay away from me" thing. They're not flattered by male attention; for them, it's flight or fight, because they're not in control.

I warned you not to run this thing to its absurd end...
I'll give you a hand so your last foot doesn't slip off the plank: You have an irrational fear of being raped by men.
If three guys are "checking me out" alone on a dark street, I'm not thinking rape, I'm thinking, "What kid of cash am I going to lose and how badly am I going to get my ass kicked when they find I have nothing of real value on me to steal?"
You must be getting this shit by hanging out with some paranoid chicks. Most women I know fortunately do not think there's always a chance of rape. That's insane. And the statistics don't bear it out at all. Contrary to some claptrap an idiot like Andrea Dworkin might belch forth, most men are not date rapists, and most women are not easily overpowered by an unarmed man.
People like TO are freaked out because gayness fucks with their fragile male egos. They can't deal with idea of themselves anywhere near something they view as the opposite of everything they think manhood encompasses.

Apples and oranges. We're talking football. You have to say something about Shockey being a tight end, or TO a wide receiver. Why are all the homophobes in the skill positions?

Actual fashion post.
Although the fact that Esquire agrees casts fills me with self-doubt, I have been saying this for years, particularly since The Love Below came out. I assume everyone noticed how slick the dude looks in plaid on the insert of that CD.

blah blah blah. The more interesting part of that link was the story about how Alice Cooper's snake got rushed to the vet after eating a heating pad

Poor thing. I love snakes.

No, Disney just blows. Disney's cartoon characters suck so badly compared to Bugs and Daffy that comparison is almost futile. I HATE classic Disney cartoons. Hated it since I was a kid and hate it more as I get older. Utterly unfunny in every regard. Its like Sesame Street, which is a crime against children. This lady who used to watch me as a kid made us watch Sesame Street and I recall it being so awful that I started reading books from my folks shelves in the television room just so I could avoid watching that god awful shit. I think I learned to read trying to plod through "Darwin Marx Wagner" and "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" while waiting for that horrible woman to leave the room so I could chancge the channel to Tom & Jerry. I blame that cur for making me a fucking unhappy kid. And don't give me any Electric Company shit... that show was just as atrocious.

Granted, I'm only one woman, but I'm pretty sure that most men could overpower me if they really, really wanted to. I have no desire to find out if that is true or not.

Actually, I don't. I once had an irrational fear of being jumped in the dark by three strangers. It lasted about 20 seconds. There is a difference.

I'm going to pretend that you didn't read the part where I said I was cruised, not mugged. I have a limited experience being mugged, but informed persons tell me the process is usually not kicked off by an offer of oral. If it were, Sidd would be vacationing in Detroit instead of Vegas.

The second half of this is such a collossal misdirection, it's easy to be distracted from the wrongness of the first half. I don't hang out with paranoid chicks. I do, however, know several women who have been subjected to some kind of incohate sexual assault. In most cases it began as a consensual encounter where she decided the line was one place and the guy decided it was another. In the cases I have in mind, the guy got fought off, but not without leaving the woman feeling violated anyway. While this is not the kind of rape that underlies homosexual panic, when it happens it is a chilling and unbelievably common reminder to women that sexual contact can wind up out of their control. When men experience that kind of reminder, it's completely irrational, but just as sincere.

Yeah, that's a real coherent reason why guys like TO often literally back away from people they're told are gay. It's because you don't want to be physically proximate to something that is the opposite of everything manhood encompasses.
You are a jackass.
