I cut back the Zinnias. It coincided more or less with the change in the weather, but it seemed to help.

Usually, Texas Bluebells don't do well up here, but I always throw some seedlings in the bare areas anyway. But this year, they're all over and very grand. Nice this year, but I'm a bit melancholy that they'll be so fleeting. We probably won't have bluebells like this for another decade.

Much as I love peonies, I envy you your Bluebells.

And I'll be cutting back the peonies this weekend. I think they're too far gone for soap.

You should do as I have done. Ever since I learned that Penske stopped socking (I miss Penske <sniff>), I have disregarded all posts by socks. No unfulfilled expectations.

Sometimes deer will not eat the plants but will eat the flowers.
I had a big problem with S. Black & Blue. They left the plants alone and as soon as they bloomed they would come and eat every single flower off.

Very frustrating.

No,. NFH was confirmed as the lest make a deal socks, which, for me, are the shitty sock standard. This Miss Crabtree sock is of that caliber. Plus, who else besides NFH would use a picture of Spanky to jest with the poster Spanky, whose avatar is SPanky? I cannot think of anyuone else. It reminded me of her Big Brother Six secrets post.
