Sample honeymoon registry.
We didn't do this because I didn't think it made much sense to send everyone to a site that simply asks them to send the service money (minus a not-insubstantial fee). But if directed there by a couple, you can pick locations, hotels, dinners, adventure trips, whatever, to choose from. So, instead of sending someone $300, you could buy someone the pack of windsurfing lessons they picked out. It's cooler in theory than in practice, though.

Better yet, register for a vacation (I saw sites for this) that you can take whenever you're ready. Would be something nice to look forward to when you reach a certain goal. I would contribute to it yesterday.

I had signed up for and paid for a week-long vacation. I was going to bookend it in Vegas. It was unused and I can use it in the future or regift it. I don't give gifts that expensive or with the undertone it would imply, so after I get a job I will reschedule it. The time of year is a factor.

So what's going on in CA now? Is Prop 8 dead now?

Recalling what Fringey wrote about the parental units treating her like a child, better wait until they let her open her own mail!
Gwink: Good luck tomorrow or whatever you say in the boxing world. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. And afterwards lick potato chip crumbles off the BF.
Fringey: So glad to hear you are getting better.

When you start interviewing again, it should be interesting when they ask about the gap in your resume.

A friend of mine registered at Spec's when she and her ex got married. Was a lot of fun to go through that registry.

actually I got a rejection letter from New Yorker. Supposedly, an actual letter is pretty rare.

Were you absent the day they taught LAW in LAW SCHOOL?
Also, any reference to Your Harvard Mouth, which would be a great name for a Decemberists cover band.

That would mean that I would have started posting when I was about 2.
OK, that works.
