For some reason lawtalkers.com is not the same as www.lawtalkers.com, and if you go to the fomer, it'll likely not let you into the site. Dunno why, but it was like that at our former host too.

Hmm. Then I say it all depends on your tolerance for a hot office. If that doesn't bother you, go with the view. I'd have to go with no view, as a too warm office induces afternoon naps.

Landlord Tenant Question

Anyone know landlord tenant law -- specifically what rights a landlord has to choose between two prospective tenants who applied at more or less the same time? There is only one apartment.

It's an upper unit in a duplex with hardwood floors and not a lot of insulation to keep the downstairs tenants from hearing noises from above. The prospective tenant with the lesser credit rating and dicier income also has 2 very young boys and I think they'd drive the lower unit tenants out of the duplex with the noise. The other prospective tenants have solid jobs, good income and no kids. Can the landlord choose them without getting sued for discriminating?

ETA: Never mind. I just got a call from the tenant check place and it doesn't sound like they will qualify the one with the kids so there won't be a decision to make. Whew.

Sports Injury Question

Since we're all being helpful and shit today...

I pulled a muscle in my calf about 2 weeks ago on a Friday. I took the weekend off, and went back to my usual class, and pulled it again last Monday, sort of worse... I was limping around for a day or so. I took the rest of the week off, and this morning, feeling no pain or discomfort at all, went back to class where I promptly pulled it again 10 minutes into class.

What should I do? (Not going back to this class is not an option. I love it. I must go back.)

My advice is to stop aging and/or stop being such a spaz.

Helpfully,

Flinty

1600 mg of Motrin a day (Motrin not any generic).

Rest a day or so and start light stetching. Rest for a week, then get a compression sleeve for the calf. Continue eating Motrin for the first week you are back working out.

Okay, mr. IP. How is the ibuprofen in Motrin different from the ibuprofen in Advil or, for that matter, in the CVS/Rite-aid/Walgreens/etc. generic?

Smaller office with better light.

I once owned stock in a drug where during the trials the people on placebo showed an effect, but those on the drug didn't. I may still own the stock, but it's worthless anyway.

Natural light. I could never overstate the importance of getting a lot of natural light.

If you think the stock has value and upside, isn't that what's most important?

Hank represents the Motrin people and wants them to be able to pay their bills.
