Keep going to the class and go about your life as normal. The only way to get yourself out of this mess is to do the exact same things that got you into it. You'll be better in no time.

Bad things can happen if you don't take care of it and keep re-injuring it. http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/l...alf-strain.htm

I pulled a thigh muscle. I know a therapist quite well. He told me the meds are 90% of the therapy. I've ran the last two week with a pulled thigh muscle. Compression shorts make it a non-issue. I simply need to warm up before running, stretch after and eat Motrin.

The best advice you can get is from the old guy who runs every day.

Have you heard the expression 'only a hillbilly sits around figuring out the best way to catch flies'?

Bullshit. Every hillbilly knows how to catch flies and doesn't need to sit around figurin nothin. You just keep the dogs from the possum you've been shooting while settin on the porch, or head out back to the dual extra large commode behind the house. Either way, flies are thick as can be and you can practically scoop them into the ball jar.

Get hit by a car and you may not remember this issue. And, you won't be able to take the class anymore, anyway. You will be unable to walk. Or dead.

I pulled a muscle in my calf about 2 weeks ago on a Friday. I took the weekend off, and went back to my usual class, and pulled it again last Monday, sort of worse... I was limping around for a day or so. I took the rest of the week off, and this morning, feeling no pain or discomfort at all, went back to class where I promptly pulled it again 10 minutes into class.

What should I do? (Not going back to this class is not an option. I love it. I must go back.)
Pfft. That's easy.

Acupuncture.

Acupuncture is the answer to all questions.

My old-guy-who-runs-every-day would not run for a day or two until it felt better. (He is anti-med.) In fact, that's what he did when he twinged his calf muscle a few weeks ago. He didn't run for a day or two, stuck to weight work, and when he started running again, adjusted his stride so that it didn't hurt.

He's been running for more than 30 years and is pretty good at it. He runs marathons in just over three hours. Total.Exercise.Freak.

a real muscle pull doesn't heal in a day or two. don't fight B&B's fact pattern- she did rest for almost a week.

was your old guy ever voted "most helpful" on any internet chat boards?
