California Penal Code: Section 261.5 Unlawful Sexual Intercourse

(a) Unlawful sexual intercourse is an act of sexual intercourse accomplished with a person who is not the spouse of the perpetrator, if the person is a minor. Yeah, I know. Still, it's a pain in the ass when my docs deliver babies at the public hospital in the county with the largest teenage pregnancy rate in the country. They don't get to pick and choose which cases to report. Fortunately, the reporting requirement allows for the affirmative defense.
